Our commitment

Ropesafe Ltd wants everyone to be able to use www.rope-safe.co.uk, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnifiers or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What we have done

We have added descriptive alt text to the images on the site, so screen readers can describe our photos of work at height, silo cleaning, bird netting and other jobs.

We have checked text and button colours against the WCAG contrast ratio of 4.5:1 and darkened colours and text backgrounds where needed.

We have set out each page with a clear heading structure and descriptive page titles, so the content can be read in a logical order.

Our buttons and links say where they lead, for example Call Us or Silo Cleaning, rather than general wording like Click here.

Known limitations

Our site is built on the Wix platform. Some features supplied by Wix or other providers, such as the site search, the FAQ section and the Yell review badge, are outside our direct control and may not be fully accessible. Some older photos may also contain text that is only described briefly in their alt text.

We review the site regularly and fix any problems we find.
